Mindful Flow Yoga: (Suitable for beginners & all levels) This class is structured around rejuvenating and healing the body. Open to all levels of practice and ability. This class focuses on connected basic postures and how to connect them through attention to breathing, alignment and mindfulness. This class will move at a slower pace and allow ample time to enjoy each pose.
Slow Motion Yoga: (Suitable for Beginners & all levels) Come stretch your body slowly and steadily with a series of gentle poses (some of which will provide passive stretching with the use of props). With an emphasis on awareness of body, breathing, and deep relaxation, you will feel the benefits immediately. This soothing practice will be very slow moving and is accessible to those of all experience levels; beginners encouraged! W/Arlene
Hatha Yoga : (Mixed level)You will learn foundational yoga poses and practices for all levels. This mindful class allows time for alignment of bones, muscles and joints while opening energetic channels in the body by using willful breath. Modifications for all levels.
Slow & Strong Flow: (Mixed level) Slow and strong flow will cultivate a grounding and powerful breath that will support a mindful vinyasa. Heat and strength will be built in a subtle manner while maintaining the connection to the divinity within. Many variations will be offered so this class is suitable for all levels. Available with Bridget & Alexandra
Yin Yoga: (All Levels & beginners) Yin Yoga is complementary yoga practice to active yoga styles and fitness routines. Floor postures are held passively for several minutes to release long held restriction in the deeper layers of connective tissue in the body. Physically, Yin Yoga restores and maintains the natural mobility of the joints, primarily between the navel and the knees. Energetically, we address the meridians and emotional stresses in the body. The practice emphasis is stillness, silence and peace of mind. Available with Michele, Carol & Randee.
Yin Yoga + Massage: (Suitable for beginners) A natural healing practice that uses static, elongating poses that are held for several minutes. Yin postures gently stretch and rehabilitate the connective tissues that form our joints and helps to maintain flexibility. This practice can bring balance to an overly “yang” or active lifestyle leaving you with a feeling of calmness. Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga,Thai Massage and traditional western massage techniques are woven into the yoga practice. (class size 6) 90 minute class, Pre-register, space limited. Available with Michele.
Easy Like Sunday Morning YOGA: Just like it sounds. An all level accessible “go with the flow” class. working with the needs of the class to feel relaxed, restored and rejuvenated! Available with Carol.
Slow Flow & Yin Yoga: (Mixed level) A slow mindful Flow Yoga Class. The practice will end with soothing yin and restorative poses! Available with Michele.
Restorative Yoga: Enables one to return to a natural state of balance physically, mentally, and emotionally allowing the body to open through passive stretching. Restorative Yoga is the practice of placing the body into a Yoga pose (asana) using the support of props such as blankets, blocks, pillows, bolsters, or chairs. These poses hold and maintain the position of the body as physical and mental tension dissolves and melts away. In this supported state, the asana can be held for a longer period of time which facilitates a state of deeper relaxation allowing for the innate intelligence of the body to reintegrate the system to its natural state of balance and peace. Restorative poses can benefit all Yoga practitioners regardless of one’s level of Yoga practice.
Meditation Classes: Guided Meditation- This is a 50 minute guided meditation class. Everyone can benefit from taking time out to rest the mind; this facilitates healing of the mind, body and spirit. Chairs and floor seating available. Available with Jennifer Ruth Segar.
